Quick answer: 3BHK interior cost in Bangalore in 2026
Scope | Planning budget |
Modular essentials | ₹8–13 lakh |
Mid-range full interiors | ₹13–20 lakh |
Premium interiors | ₹20–30 lakh+ |
Luxury/custom | ₹30 lakh+ |
The actual cost depends on apartment size, kitchen configuration, number of wardrobes, materials, hardware, electrical/civil scope, loose furniture and taxes.
For a typical 3BHK apartment in Bangalore, a practical 2026 planning budget is around ₹8–13 lakh for modular essentials, ₹13–20 lakh for a more complete mid-range interior, and ₹20–30 lakh+ for premium work. Highly customised or luxury homes can go beyond ₹30 lakh. These are indicative planning ranges, not fixed quotations, and the scope included at each level matters as much as the number.
That’s a wide gap, and it has nothing to do with luck or hard bargaining. It comes down to scope. Two designers can look at the same flat and quote for completely different jobs, so it pays to know what’s inside each number before you compare them.
3BHK Interior Design Cost in Bangalore by Scope
Scope | Indicative budget | What it usually covers |
Modular essentials | ₹8–13 lakh | Kitchen, wardrobes and key storage, with limited ceiling or décor work |
Mid-range full interiors | ₹13–20 lakh | Kitchen, wardrobes in every bedroom, living storage, false ceiling, lighting, painting |
Premium full interiors | ₹20–30 lakh+ | Upgraded finishes and hardware, more customisation, wider civil and electrical scope |
Luxury and custom | ₹30 lakh+ | Fully bespoke design, specialty materials, detailed finishing throughout |
Use these as planning ranges. Your final figure will move with carpet area, kitchen layout, the number of wardrobes, materials, hardware, civil and electrical work, appliances, loose furniture, GST and which rooms are in scope. A modular-only project will always come in below a full turnkey one. Use our interior cost calculator to get a range for your own flat before you start collecting quotes.
Why Two Quotes for the Same Flat Can Be Lakhs Apart
Designer fee versus turnkey cost
A designer’s fee and the cost of finishing your interiors are two different things. Design-only service usually means layouts, drawings, 3D views and material guidance. A turnkey quote adds materials, manufacturing, installation, project management and sometimes civil and electrical work. Before you compare anything, work out which of the two you’re holding.
The per sq ft trap
A per sq ft rate tells you very little until you know what it’s measured on: carpet area, built-up area, or only the area the furniture will cover. Depending on the answer, the same flat can look 30% cheaper or dearer. Ask about the basis first, then ask what the rate includes. A per-square-foot number is useful as a rough benchmark, but it should never replace an itemised BOQ. A ₹1,200/sq ft quote and a ₹1,800/sq ft quote may not be comparable if one excludes wardrobes, electrical work, false ceiling, appliances or GST.
Where the Money Goes, Room by Room
Here’s how a mid-range budget tends to split across the main items. Treat the ranges as indicative. A 3BHK also adds a third wardrobe and usually more storage overall. The following figures are for individual scope items, not complete room packages. Loose furniture, appliances, décor and major civil work are not automatically included unless stated.
Work item | Indicative range |
Modular kitchen | ₹2.00–3.50 lakh |
Master bedroom wardrobe | ₹0.80–1.50 lakh |
Bedroom 2 wardrobe | ₹0.60–1.20 lakh |
Bedroom 3 wardrobe | ₹0.60–1.20 lakh |
TV unit and living storage | ₹0.50–1.25 lakh |
Foyer/crockery unit | ₹0.25–0.80 lakh |
False ceiling and lighting | ₹0.60–1.50 lakh |
Electrical modifications | ₹0.25–0.75 lakh |
Painting and wall finishes | ₹0.40–1.00 lakh |
Design fees, GST and appliances depend on your agreement, so get them in writing. Room-wise numbers also help if you want to phase the work, for example the kitchen and master bedroom now and the guest room later. See our modular kitchen design page and wardrobe design page for what’s included at each budget level.
What Bangalore Adds to the Bill
Apartment work runs on the society’s clock. Limited working hours, a shared lift and fixed loading slots all stretch the schedule, and a longer schedule costs more. Other things play a part too: how far your home is from the workshop, the condition the builder hands over, and where the electrical and plumbing points already sit. Villas and independent houses come with their own variables, such as extra floors and different access.
We wouldn’t claim one locality is always pricier than another. Site logistics matter more than the pin code.
Smart Ways to Trim a 3BHK Budget
Spend on what your hands touch every day. Save on what your eyes rarely land on.
Pay for good hardware. Hinges and drawer channels decide how a kitchen feels in year five.
Go mid-range in quiet corners. The store room and the insides of cabinets rarely need premium laminates.
Keep the false ceiling limited. Save the decorative version for rooms that benefit from it.
Mix modular and ready-made. A ready-made study table or side unit saves money without hurting the look.
Phase the extras. The guest room can wait.
Freeze the design early. Changes after manufacturing starts are the most expensive ones.
What's Included / What's Not
A ₹15 lakh 3BHK interior doesn’t necessarily mean the same thing everywhere.
Often included depending on scope:
‣Modular kitchen
‣Wardrobes
‣TV unit
‣Storage
‣False ceiling
‣Basic electrical modifications
‣Painting
‣Installation
May be excluded:
‣Appliances
‣Sofa
‣Dining table
‣Beds/mattresses
‣ Curtains
‣ Decorative lighting
‣ Major plumbing
‣ Flooring replacement
‣ Structural changes
‣ GST/taxes, depending on quotation
Never compare the headline number without comparing the inclusions.
How to Compare 3BHK Interior Quotes
Get the quotes onto the same basis before you look at any totals. Check these:
The measurement basis (carpet, built-up or furniture area)
Material brand, board type and thickness
Hardware brand and model
Exclusions such as appliances, loose furniture and civil work
How GST is shown
Payment stages and timeline
A higher quote does not automatically mean better materials or workmanship. Compare the specification, quantities, hardware, exclusions, warranty and execution scope before comparing the final number.
After that, keep another 5–10% aside for approved changes, site conditions and hardware upgrades. Think of it as a cushion, not a charge. For a new-build or relatively clean apartment interior, a 5–10% planning cushion is reasonable. Older homes and renovation projects may warrant a larger contingency because hidden plumbing, electrical or civil issues can appear after work begins.
How DezinePro Builds a 3BHK Estimate
We’ve worked in Bangalore since 2004, and every estimate follows the same order. First we agree on the objective, design requirements and budget. Then we measure the space and present plans and designs. Only after that do we quote against the agreed scope, so you know exactly what you’re signing off on.
Conclusion
There’s no single 3BHK interior design cost in Bangalore. What you pay follows your scope, your materials and how carefully the quote is written. Decide what you can’t live without, ask for everything itemised, and it becomes much easier to see which number is fair for your flat.
Frequently Asked Questions
The 3BHK interior design cost in Bangalore is about ₹8–13 lakh for modular essentials, ₹13–20 lakh for mid-range full interiors and ₹20–30 lakh for premium work. Luxury or heavily customised homes can cross ₹30 lakh. Where you land depends on carpet area, materials, hardware, civil work and which rooms are included.
It can cover modular essentials, meaning a kitchen, wardrobes, a TV unit and basic storage, as long as the scope is planned tightly. It’s unlikely to stretch to full interiors with false ceilings, civil work, appliances and loose furniture. An itemised quote will show you exactly what ₹10 lakh buys.
Usually space planning, a modular kitchen, wardrobes, a TV unit, storage, false ceiling, lighting, electrical modifications, painting, installation and project management. Inclusions differ from company to company, so ask for materials, hardware, labour, GST and exclusions to be listed separately.
That depends on how the quote is written. GST, where applicable, should either be shown as a separate line or clearly stated as included. Before you compare totals, ask how it’s treated for modular furniture, labour, design fees, appliances and civil work. Ask whether the quoted total is inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes, and ask for the tax treatment to be shown clearly in the quotation.
Appliances, loose furniture, décor and civil work are the usual omissions, and some quotes leave out design fees or GST as well. Exclusions vary by company, so ask for the list in writing.
